Interview with Srila Prabhupada - Part 1

Whatever action a great man performs, common men follow. And whatever standards he sets by exemplary acts, all the world pursues. (Bhagavad-gita 3.21)

In this interview a reporter is asking Srila Prabhupada repeatedly at what age he realised God. The question begins at 6:46 and carries on in the second part of the video.

Discover Srila Prabhupada's answer and the journalist's frustration and inability to grasp what Srila Prabhupada is telling him. This is a very beautiful interview.

Interview with Srila Prabhupada - Part 2

Anyone who has no interest but to dedicate his life to the service of the Lord is actually a sannyasi. Such a person always thinks of himself as an eternal servant, dependent on the supreme will of the Lord. As such, whatever he does, he does it for the benefit of the Lord.

Whatever action he performs, he performs it as service to the Lord. He does not give serious attention to the fruitive activities or prescribed duties mentioned in the Vedas.

For ordinary persons it is obligatory to execute the prescribed duties mentioned in the Vedas, but although a pure devotee who is completely engaged in the service of the Lord may sometimes appear to go against the prescribed Vedic duties, actually it is not so. (Bhagavad-gita 9.28 Purport)

"The very gist of the guru parampara is siksa, the spiritual teaching, and wherever it is to be traced, there is guru. One who has the transcendental eye, the divine eye, will recognize the guru wherever he appears. One who possesses knowledge of absolute divine love in purity he is guru. Otherwise, the guru-parampara, is only a body parampara, a succession of bodies." (Srila B.R. Sridhar Swami)
