Do you want to understand real spirituality? Do you want to know what Krishna consciousness really is? Do you want to understand what Srila Prabhupada, who introduced Krishna consciousness all over the world, has to say on a variety of topics? If you can say YES to any of the above then this resource may be for you.

It seems at times difficult to understand Srila Prabhupada speaking, especially for those who are not familiar with him or with Krishna consciousness. Therefore we have created an Audio-Text-Synchronized library of Srila Prabhupada's classes, talks and lectures.

This resource has grown from our own needs to present Srila Prabhupada's teachings to our devotees and congregation at the Hare Krishna Centre in Leicester, UK. It has helped us to present Srila Prabhupada's lectures and then discuss from all angles of vision what we have heard and read during such a 30 minutes class.

It helps to focus ones attention if the spoken word is accompanied by a visual representation, much more so than with a spoken class only. This is where this Audio Text Synchronization of Srila Prabhupada's lectures comes in. It also helps those who want to understand Srila Prabhupada but for whom English is not their native tongue.

Above all, it thoroughly trains devotees, the congregation and guests in all aspects of Krishna consciousness. In short, it is a great resource which works well for us as well as for those in similar circumstances. This resource is now freely available for anyone to take advantage of. It may also work for you and your family, group, centre or temple. Please let us know if it does.

The technology, which is based on JavaScript and Microsoft's Internet Explorer, works unfortunately only with Internet Explorer 5.5 up till 7. IE8 does not support the timing feature, nor does Firefox.

The following statement was given by Dhristadyumna das, relating his remembrances of Srila Prahbupada. The circumstances at the time Srila Prabhupada made this statement were in 1976, when Madhudvisa had disappeared and given up sannyasa. Srila Prabhupada said:

"Actually I have not given any of you sannyasa. But I am in a war with Maya, the material energy, and I need leaders." He said, "It is called in wartime 'battlefield commission.' There are no qualified leaders, but someone has to lead the charge. So you take every fifth man, 'You are now lieutenant of the squad.' He is really a private, but we make him lieutenant for the day and he leads the charge." Then Prabhupada said, "It is to be understood that you are not sufficiently equipped for this fight and most of you will go down."
