Sanskrit And Japan - Hiroshima
Japan possesses regions such as 'Hiroshima' and 'Fukushima' and 'Nagashima' and 'Tsukishima' and 'Sakishima' names which are very much related to the ancient language of Sanskrit.
'Shima' is a word within the language of Japan whose meaning is the 'border' the 'boundary' the 'island' its origin being 'Sima' a word within the language of Sanskrit meaning 'border' and 'boundary'.
'Shima' meaning 'island' is seen within 'Hiroshima' meaning broad ( hiro ) island ( shima ) and 'Fukushima' meaning blessed ( fuku ) island ( shima ) and 'Nagashima' meaning long ( naga ) island ( shima ).
'Tsukishima' is a name which means moon ( tsuki ) island ( shima ) and it may also be related to 'Suci' and 'Shuci' words within Sanskrit whose meanings are 'bright' and 'shining' and 'moon'.
'Kirishima' is a mountain within the lands of Japan and we may find that the 'Kiri' is very much related to 'Giri' a word within the language of Sanskrit whose meaning is 'mountain'.
Japan has many other regions possessing 'Shima' such as 'Hiroshima' 'Fukushima' 'Nagashima' 'Innoshima' 'Kagoshima' 'Tokushima' 'Iwoshima' 'Shimabara' 'Takeshima' 'Komatsushima' and many more.
Japan then transforms the 'Sh' into 'J' and 'Shima' whose meaning is 'island' then becomes 'Jima' whose meaning is 'island' and a suffix seen throughout the lands of Japan.
'Nekojima' means the cat ( neko ) island ( jima ) and there is a possibility that 'Neko' meaning 'cat' is cognate with 'Nakha' a word within Sanskrit meaning 'nails' and 'claws'.
Japan has 'Sakurajima' meaning cherry blossom ( sakura ) island ( jima ) and 'Takarajima' meaning treasure ( takara ) island ( jima ) and also 'Gajajima' 'Tairajima' 'Ukejima' and many more.
