Home Articles Twenty Four Hour Kirtan

The 24 hour kirtan held at the Balaji Temple in Birmingham was a tremendous success. The whole program was timetabled listing all the different events. It was blessed by the presence of some of Srila Prabhupada’s senior disciples namely Sacinandana Swami and Krishna Ksetra Prabhu. 24 Hour KirtanThe bhajans were led by a variety of different kirtan leaders who all added their own special quality of devotion to this wonderful festival, celebrating the glories of the Holy Name.

One devotee who deserves a particular mention was Madhava Prabhu, whose heart rendering rendition of the Holy Name had the devotees rapt with attention, culminating in everyone spontaneously erupting into dance with sheer joy and ecstasy for the Holy Name. The whole atmosphere was serene and the prasadam was delicious.

To cap off a wonderful day the devotees from the Leicester Yatra took darshan of the Blessed Lord Balaji and received the Lord’s mercy by having his Lotus Feet Placed upon their heads. The perfect end to a sublime day.
